Local support and easy access
A local presence makes a purchase in Alicante much easier. Our office in central Alicante provides advisers who know the market, the neighbourhoods and the administrative steps. Access is a strong point: Alicante-Elche airport has regular direct flights to the UK and northern Europe, which makes viewings and settling in simpler. This local follow-up helps you search more effectively, arrange viewings quickly and get clear support through the legal and notarial stages.
Attractive prices and affordability
The Alicante property market offers interesting opportunities for buyers. Prices per square metre remain attractive compared with other coastal cities, allowing many buyers to afford a property by the sea or in the city centre. The average asking price varies considerably from one neighbourhood to another and by type of home: you will find the latest figure, with its source and date, in the key figures higher up on this page. Our support helps you set a realistic budget, target the right properties and negotiate clearly, with no yield promises but with professional follow-up.
Quality of life, beaches and energy
Alicante combines city life with a seaside atmosphere, ideal for those looking for quality of life and energy. The city offers a rich food scene, bars and varied leisure, as well as easy-to-reach beaches for outdoor activities. Its neighbourhoods blend historic heritage with modern amenities, with options for families, retirees and seasonal buyers. Buying in Alicante means choosing a sunny daily life, a mild climate and a lively local scene, backed by services and infrastructure suited to a long-term move.
Every journey is unique. So is every goal. That is why we offer two packages to suit your needs: full purchase support, from the search to the signing, or legal due diligence on a property you have already found.

Frequently asked questions about property in Alicante
Can a foreigner buy a property in Alicante?
+
Yes. Spain places no nationality restrictions on buying property. You do, however, need an NIE, the foreigner identification number, which is required to sign at the notary's and to open a Spanish bank account. We handle this step as part of our support.
What costs should you budget for on top of the property price?
+
As a rule, allow 10 to 15% of the asking price. This covers transfer tax (ITP) for a resale property or VAT for a new build, notary fees, land registry registration and administrative costs. Our online buying costs calculator gives a detailed estimate by region and type of property.
Do you need to be there in person to buy in Alicante?
+
No. Many of our clients buy from abroad. Viewings can be done by video call with a written report, and signing at the notary's is possible with a power of attorney. On site, we check what photos do not show: the real condition, the immediate surroundings, any nuisances, compliance.
What checks do you carry out before an offer?
+
We check the property's legal status at the land registry, that there are no debts or unpaid charges, planning compliance, the state of the community of owners and whether the price is consistent with recent sales in the area. These checks take place before any offer, not after.
How long does it take to buy a property in Alicante?
+
From the first viewing to signing, it generally takes two to four months. The timing depends mainly on getting the NIE, any financing and the notary's availability. A cash purchase with a complete file can go faster.
