The Marina de Valencia area, next to the port, is a very interesting part of the city for residents and visitors alike. Many events are held there: concerts, races, food festivals. Here we explain the different parts of La Marina de Valencia, where they are and what you will find there.
Los Tinglados, meaning "sheds", have stood in Valencia since the early 20th century and were built to increase exports of goods through the port. There were originally six, and three still stand today: Tinglados 2, 4 and 5.
It is the most popular and central shed of the marina. It was once used as an ice rink and is now a large space for all kinds of events while keeping its look and modern architecture. A skatepark is also planned on a nearby square so that skaters still have a place to practise.
It is on Calle Marina Real Juan Carlos I, between the EDEM business school (Escuela de Empresarios) and the Edificio del Reloj. So, coming from Avenida del Puerto, turn left to get there.

They are closer to the port and therefore further from the seafront promenade (paseo marítimo). For a few years, these sheds served as the Formula 1 pit lane. They are now being restored so that everyone can use them.

It is one of the most beautiful buildings in Valencia. It was built around 1916 and reflects the importance of the port of Valencia throughout history. It is currently the headquarters of the port authority of the city, although it may one day become a museum devoted to the painter Joaquín Sorolla.

This huge space served for several years as the base of the Alinghi team for the America's Cup. Today, the ground floor is an exhibition hall and the other floors are gradually being turned into cultural spaces. On its front façade, you can see a huge mural by the street artist Hyuro.
This modern building catches the eye at first sight for its architecture. Inside, there are different spaces, some of which can be hired for events. There is also an underground car park with 800 spaces, a hospitality management school, an exhibition and concert hall and three food venues of different kinds.

This beautiful pergola in the modernista style stands almost at the end of Calle Marina Real Juan Carlos I, next to Malvarrosa beach. It was restored in 2013 and hosts concerts by bands from the surrounding neighbourhoods.
The Marina Sur auditorium is currently the largest concert venue in Valencia, so if you are looking for it, you are probably going there to see your favourite band.
