Today we take you on a tour of the Paseo Juan Aparicio area in Torrevieja, very popular with tourists for its many activities, and with investors too. For more information, see our page on buying a flat or a house in Torrevieja.

Paseo Juan Aparicio is one of the most important areas of the Torrevieja coast. It has a long seafront promenade with stunning views. The Alicante coast has many key tourist spots, and in Torrevieja you can find places as beautiful as this promenade. It is one of the busiest areas in summer, a perfect place to enjoy the many activities the town's coastline has to offer. You will find a wide choice of bars with terraces overlooking the promenade. One of the most central spots in town, it should not be missed: very close to the marina and the exhibition grounds, and right next to the Levante breakwater, this area is one of the town's must-sees. Most properties here are flats. A 115 m² three-bedroom flat in a residential building costs €285,000. For more information, see our page on property in Torrevieja.

One of the main attractions of the promenade is its natural pools. They were created artificially when the area was renovated and are lined with rocks brought in at that time. The pools alternate with small beaches, such as Playa del Cura, creating a very calm swimming area, perfect for any visitor who wants to make the most of Torrevieja. To get in and out of the sea, you can use the metal steps installed next to the rocks along Paseo Juan Aparicio. Next to the natural pools, you will also find several terraces, ideal for a snack.

Another landmark on the promenade is the statue of La Bella Lola, installed when the promenade was redesigned. It shows a young woman with her hair in a bun, looking out to sea, and represents Torrevieja's maritime history. Lola is a young woman whose husband goes out fishing every day. The story is tragic: the sea destroyed the fishing boat where her husband worked, leaving no survivors. The statue shows the woman sitting, facing the sea, waiting forever for her husband to come back.
